Ray Chambers (they/them) is a New York–based director and producer whose work draws inspiration from contrasting forces—blending rural simplicity with gritty urban aesthetics and queer culture. Originally from a small town in Oregon, Ray is drawn to storytelling centered on identity, queerness, and environment. Their filmmaking approach is rooted in building worlds that are honest, visceral, and reflective.

For the past eight years, Ray has worked across narrative, commercial, editorial, and large-scale live event production—collaborating with directors, DPs, agencies, and photographers on projects for Rimowa, Adult Swim, Nike, and HBO’s And Just Like That.

Marshland marks their narrative directorial debut.
